Wow! Her Dr. Seuss party blows mine out of the water! I had so much fun putting Keira’s together, but it was a TON of hard work, and it doesn’t sound like it even touched the amount of work she must have put into hers. Bravo to Julia!

Thanks, Scott! So very true. I’ve taken some pretty significant risks in my life due to the dreams and vision I’ve had, and although I’ve had some struggles here and there, it was all well worth it.

Love your blog! Regarding dreams, my wife and I have learned this along the path of entrepreneurship: “Big dream, big struggle. Small dream, small struggle”. I think most of us will agree that the first choice is is a better one. And, looking at it this way puts the difficulties into perspective.

It really is, but forgiveness enables us to move on and commit energy to other things like our families. It took me 20 years to finally forgive my dad. Every year it drained me physically and emotionally and I cried so much over it because I couldn’t figure out why he was the way he was. It’s nice not having that weigh me down anymore.

I’ve raised four children. They each have their own nature. Some will be more independent than others and, frankly, there isn’t anything you can do about it. He will always want to do things for himself because that’s his nature. Celebrate the discovery and his growth.

I’m not a parent but I think giving “supervised” independence is a good thing It teaches them about responsibility, which is vitally important to their growth into responsible adults. Happy Parenting
